What If Mothers Ruled The World?

A short documentary, filmed on the streets of Stockport in October 2025 as part of an ongoing research project exploring the topic of motherhood. The film explores the public's reflections on life, love, politics, motherhood and more - opening up deep and meaningful conversations with people from all walks of life by virtue of the question "what if mothers ruled the world?"

The film has been screened at a cinema in Stockport where members of the public as well as researchers and strategist joined in a discussion, reflecting on the film and the question.

Hush Research and Strategy are specialists in researching the topic of parenting and motherhood. They came to us wanting to explore the topic from new perspectives and this project is the is a result of that.

Navigating uncertainty: how ethnography helped people living with a rare disease

We have been working with XLH UK, using ethnography to build a better understanding of people's experiences of living with the rare disease XLH (X-linked Hypophosphatemia). The 4 videos and photo-book we produced were submitted as evidence to NICE and helped our client to successfully campaign for the approval of funding for a new breakthrough drug for adults on the NHS.

This work was shortlist as a finalist for both the AQR Excellence Award 2025 and the ICG Award 2025 as part of the Market Research Society Awards.

The full project can be viewed on the XLH UK website.
